Swiss Employment Law – Dos and Don’ts
The challenges for international HR Professionals to comply with local laws and regulations steadily increase. The Swiss way of handling HR issues may differ substantially from what is known and acceptable in a common law environment.
This training, developed by Bettina Egli in collaboration with Dr. Alex Ertl in 2011, is designed to improve the management of legal and reputational risks by enhancing the sensitivity of international HR Professionals and Line Managers to the cultural and legal differences when dealing with Labour Law issues in Switzerland.
It is about raising awareness to the most important Do‘s and Dont‘s, simplifying and explaining many of the differences to other legal and regulatory frameworks and as to our knowledge it is the only Swiss Labour Law Training held in English.
- General introduction into the Swiss Legal Framework.
- Highlighting red flags in the hiring, retention and termination phase.
- Examining the legal and culturally different approaches to interview techniques, CV’s, employment contracts, employers and employees obligations and data protection issues.
- The training session is very interactive and cases of participants will be discussed.
- Language: English.
