Head of Tax

Our client is an internationally leading provider of energy solutions based in Switzerland. In this role you will be based in the Global Headquarter in Switzerland and directly report to the Group’s CFO.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the overall management of the Group’s tax affairs. In particular but not limited to
- The management and co-ordination of group wide tax planning projects, tax risks and tax compliance, in particular with respect to transfer pricing.
- Provide support to entities around the world in the managing their tax affairs, including tax audits.
- Identification of opportunities for tax optimization is important, recognizing that the Group does not take highly aggressive tax positions.
- Remaining up to date with latest international tax developments, particularly in the area of transfer pricing is critical.
- Historically regionally oriented, the Group is moving more towards global and regional functions; awareness of the tax risks and opportunities that such reorganizations represent is very important.
- Tax compliance is very important; maintaining an oversight of critical tax risk areas for the group is key as is the provision of support and leadership to the finance functions around the world.
- Liaison with professional advisers and tax authorities around the world.
- One US GAAP expert, based in Zug, will report to you.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) or Master’s Degree
- At least 8 years working experience in a “Big Four” accounting firm or the HQ of a large multi-national
- Extensive Swiss and international / cross-border tax experience
- Previous experience in tax background and also a good knowledge in accounting and finance in-house
- Knowledge and experience with Swiss tax is a great plus
- Experience of developing and implementing a tax risk framework
- Fluent in English and (preferably) in German

Data Privacy Officer
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the Swiss and Europe wide roll out and implementation of the company’s data protection management strategy. This includes in particular but is not limited to:
- Further refining the company’s data protection strategy
- Building and coordinating the Group’s Data Protection Management System across Switzerland and Europe
- Ensuring data protection compliance, developing internal awarness campaigns, designing and implementing trainings
- Reviewing and completing the binding concept for data classification in respect to confidentiality and out-sourcing
- Representation of the Group in external expert bodies and Single Point of Contact for governmental bodies (e.g. EDÖP)
- Ongoing identification and evaluation of most recent data protection legisation (EU, EFTA, Switzerland)
- Steady interaction with internal business partners in Switzerland and Europe and assistance in contract negotiations (required travel ca. 20 %)
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s legal or business degree
- Profound knowledge in the area of data protection
- High affinity towards IT issues
- IAPP certification a plus
- Fluent in German and English (French a plus)
- Experience in building up a DPMS
