Our client, a global leader in its field and listed on the NYSE, offers an exciting opportunity where you can apply your commercial and corporate legal experience and know-how in an international environment. You will have the oversight of complex legal matters supporting mainly the European region of a specific business unit and the Swiss based parent company.

You enjoy developing expertise and understanding the technical issues related to the assigned projects offering several years’ experience in a multinational company or in private practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a strong business parter to the line management and the EME senior leadership team
• Act as primary legal resource to the Senior Leadership Team and the business units in the EAME region (Hungary, Germany, France, Italy, Africa, Czech Republic, Denmark etc)
• Create, implement and audit the company’s regulatory & FCPA compliance efforts as a Compliance Officer
• Strong emphasis on commercial activity, M&A, sales and contracts

Key Qualifications

• Degree from accredited Law School (Swiss or foreign equivalent)
• 3 to 5 years’ experience for a multinational company or in private practice cross border experience strongly preferred
• Strong background in contracts as well as complex legal advice which support the commercial business
• Broad understanding of corporate law, including commercial as well as employment related matters
• Experience in working in a cross border environment with complex oversight of legal matters supporting the European region
• Project Management Experience
• Flexible to working in a matrix reporting structure
• Fluency in English including strong legal writing skills – particularly in contract drafting
